Remember that time when President Trump addressed the nation in a unifying manner to bridge the gaps and possibly heal the tension the country is currently feeling? Yep …neither do I! Instead we live in country where wearing a mask to protect others has become politicized to the point where wearing a mask is an indication of your political affiliation. I hope that’s not true. I’m just saying if that’s the case, the polls that have Biden leading are as phony as the ones that said Hillary would win.

In my neck of the woods I’m seeing more masks on the ground than on faces. If you’ve been paying close attention, our President’s greatest strength is on full display. He has an uncanny ability to polarize any issue, with his next target predictably being the Black Lives Matter movement. I hope you don’t have to ask yourself why black people demanding equality would upset the President. I think we all know the answer to that. When a Black Lives Matter mural was approved to be placed right outside Trump Towers on Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue, the commander and chief lost his mind. He tweeted, “NYC is cutting Police $’s by ONE BILLION DOLLARS, and yet the @NYCMayor is going to paint a big, expensive, yellow Black Lives Matter sign on Fifth Avenue, denigrating this luxury avenue. This will further antagonize New York’s Finest, who LOVE New York & vividly remember the horrible BLM chant, Pigs In A Blanket, Fry ‘Em Like Bacon. Maybe our GREAT police, who have been neutralized and scorned by a mayor who hates & disrespects them, won’t let this symbol of hate be affixed to New York’s greatest street. Spend this money fighting crime instead!” This is a tweet with the purpose of causing further division because to him, black peoples’ autonomy is antagonistic. This from the man who tweeted at protestors, “when the looting starts, the shooting starts.”

The President has a history of not wanting black lives anywhere near his properties. It started in 1973 when the Justice Department filed suit against Trump Management Company alleging that employees were to tell African American lease applicants that there were no open apartments. According to an employee quoted in court documents, company policy was to rent only to “Jews and executives.” Two years later, a settlement was reached where Trump did not admit to any wrongdoing. Soon after in 1978, another suit was filed by the Justice Department for violating the previous settlement. Barbara Res worked for Trump in 1983 and is quoted, “As far as discrimination, he wouldn’t discriminate against somebody who had $3 million to pay for a three-bedroom apartment.”

The President has always had an infinity for black celebrities even garnering hip-hop notoriety in the 90’s. In the 1991 book Trumped! The Inside Story of the Real Donald Trump—His Cunning Rise and Spectacular Fall, author James Rutherford wrote about how Trump didn’t want black people handling his money, he wanted the guys with the yarmulkes. Our President, who doesn’t want a Black Lives Matter mural on Fifth Avenue is totally fine with lynching the Central Park Five in the middle of Time Square. Our President, who thinks Black Lives Matter is a symbol of hate, earlier this week retweeted a man yelling white power at protestors before deleting it. Get this…the reason for the deletion is that he didn’t hear that part. Our president whose aides were spotted at his less than spectacular Tulsa rally taking down social distancing signs. Some of these aides, by the way, have since tested positive for Covid-19. So of course, he doesn’t think Black Lives Matter. The megalomaniac doesn’t even think white lives matter. So be safe, be smart, and enjoy the weekend. Peace.

You rollin’ like Trump, you get your meat lumped.
